DESCRIPTION:Make Downtown Yakima Farmers Market your outdoor grocery store!!\n\nThe DYFM is open every Sundays\, 9am-1pm\, thru October 10th.\n\nKIDS DAY – Free Yakima Master Gardners activity kits available.\n\n\n\nDYFM is a community Farmers Market in the heart of Downtown Yakima\, Washington administered by the Downtown Association of Yakima (DAY). The Market provides an outlet for Washington State’s farmers\, specialty food producers\, artisan & craft makers\, food preparers\, and entertainers (buskers) to directly sell their foods and handcrafted products and to provide consumers an opportunity to buy such products directly from producers.\n\nDYFM participates in the WIC & Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Programs (FMNP) and can accept these vouchers at various booths. You can also use your SNAP/EBT & Pandemic EBT (food stamps) cards\, partnered with our SNAP Market Match program to maximize their SNAP funds. SNAP Market Match are dollar-sized paper vouchers redeemable for all fresh fruit and vegetable purchases. Individuals receive an unlimited dollar-for-dollar match of their SNAP spending at the market\, increasing their ability to buy healthy\, fresh fruits and veggies.\n\nEffective 5/18/21\, WA fully adopted the masking guidance issued by the CDC\, meaning shoppers who are two weeks removed of receiving their vaccine no longer need to wear face masks. Shoppers who are not vaccinated should wear a face mask/shield while out in public spaces. Thanks to many community partners\, masks will be available for shoppers in case they want one or forget their own.\n\nAlthough the WA State face mask requirements have changed\, Farmers’ Markets still have to follow the Department of Health (DOH) Farmers’ Market COVID-19 Guidelines until WA reopens and/or DOH Guidelines have been updated.
